Default How soon will Britain become the 51st US state?

What is the most effective way to lobby for this to happen?

How soon do you think employment laws between the US and Britain will be harmonized?

Will the federal government provide subsidies to help British people move to the US toto promote full integration?

/helpful

Just trying to help our friendly local anglo-dane.

Fairly soon, I should think. Creation of the 13 original US colonies is generally considered the first real Brexit... so it's only taken 240 or so years for Britain to follow suit! I'm optimistic.

That'll take some time, I think. First, we'd have to agree on a common currency! According to the most noted and revered seer of all time, "the Triganic Pu is a unit of galactic currency, with an exchange rate of eight Ningis to one Pu. This is simple enough, but, since a Ningi is a triangular rubber coin six thousand eight hundred miles along each side, no one has ever collected enough to own one Pu. Ningis are not negotiable currency, because the Galactibanks refuse to deal in fiddling small change."

Will the federal government provide subsidies to help British people move to the US to promote full integration?
Yes - I'm sure this will happen. There is, after all, a special relationship!

Sorry but the UK might have the 52nd spot. Mexico has laid claim to the 51st.

Mexico or Puerto Rico? :unsure. ..... If Puerto Rico were to become 51 then I think that Mexico might want to lay claim to numbers 52-82, leaving Britain to be 83, .... or perhaps 83-86, with the partially devolved provinces.

All these claims by Mexico,Canada etc are pointless. The UK MUST be the next US state...after all, there is that Special Relationship to consider, surely the US will be falling over itself to welcome the UK into its bosom......

The way that nostalgia overrules reasoning, most people would veto adding any more states purely because it means changing the flag to add more stars.

Won't the USA need to first budget for a bigger flag to fit the extra star/s on?

I'm sure that China will be able to give a very competitive quote for manufacturing the new flags ...

Excuse me? Outsource the job to non-Americans? How dare you. I believe that is treason under Trump.

Well they had renamed themselves the "United States of Mexico" in anticipation. Puerto Rico does not want to be a state. They are quite happy with all the privileges they deprive from their current status without having any of the responsibilities.

Only, and that is very specific without any negotiation, they do not include Quebec. My personal Canuck will renounce his American Citizenship if they were included.

Only with they continue to tuck the Donald in at night with warm milk and brandy.
