The two streets we've lived in, both with 4 houses each, the first one had 2 mixed race couples, 1 couple from Germany, and us from England. (2 Americans). The second street has a Chinese couple, a Korean couple, an Indian couple and us (0 Americans).
Lots of families don't look mixed race, so how can you tell, presumably you're just going on the color of their skin? Technically I am mixed race, but I don't identify as mixed, but technically speaking on the genetic level I am, despite the red hair and white skin. |

I don't think many people would consider us to be "mixed race", and aside from Mrs P's appetite for sauerkraut (which she has happy memories of her grandmother preparing), I don't think we have any ancestral ties to anywhere other than Britain and the southern US. |

Mixed race usually simply refers to skin color or language differences, plain and simple. I don't think anyone here that is married to an American considers themselves to be "mixed race", but of course, technically, they are!
