That's the nice thing about San Francisco and the SF Bay Area, the differing climates within an hours drive.
San Francisco has the least average temperature extremes in the US.
No snow or frost does it for me, if I want snow I can drive to the Sierras.

We're not anywhere near CA, but the weather here in the midwest has been wonky too. Yesterday was downright cold for July. It was down in the lower 60s with a cold rain all day. I think it's only reached 90 less than a handful of times so far this year. Usually by this time, we are all sweating our butts off and so far this summer we haven't gotten that hot at all. Very weird...

Yes,SF and the whole area is just the most perfect place to be,that's obviously why it's SO expensive to live there!!!,loved the Napa Valley as well!

Pretty much the same in Southern California but a little warmer and less fog on the coast line then SF which I find a little too chilly.

Today for example in San Diego:

Temp at the airport (3 miles from Downtown) @ 6pm 71F low tonight 68F

Tomorrow high is forecast at 77F

El Cajon (1/2 east approx of airport) at 6pm 80F

Tomorrow forecast 91F

The mountains are at 6pm 80F with a high tomorrow 93F with some T-storms in the forecast.

Out in the desert currently 102F
Tomorrow 108F for the high.

All within 90 minutes of downtown.

At the moment I am, but lived in San Diego for years, and a little in Phoenix, and Milwaukee, and Edmonton, havent decided yet where I want to live, so trying out different places.

Planning on going back to California once the economy improves.
