Default Is it hot or cold in the Bay Area?

Today, the coastal fog is blanketing SF giving a 57 degree temperature, while 27 miles inland, it's a toasty 95!

That's a 38 degree difference between San Francisco on the coast and Walnut Creek 27 miles inland! Humidity drops from 79% to 21% also!

Don't like the weather - drive a few miles!

(I'm currently in Phoenix, where it is 103 degrees and 15% humidity at 7pm!)

Youcha! We're setting up home in Oakland in a week, hoping it'll be somewhere in between those two extremes.

All I know Modesto has been hitting 107 to 110 all week.

The local news did just show the SF Bridge and its bad fog this morning

They are so talked about, I can't wait to see one! Two nights ago we had a spectacular lightning storm and strong winds, but no rain.

I'm also making an offer on a condo this week

A coincidence you posted that. I was in Walnut Creek yesterday afternoon - 95 when I got there, 55 with fog billowing across my apartment balcony when I got back to SF in the evening. I even thought about putting the heat on in my apartment!

Was going to quote Mark Twain and be all cultured, until I read the following link which busted my plans! Talks about the weather there though so still worth posting!

I've driven it quite a few times traveling to and fro, but it always always makes me want to fall asleep, among other things .

You have my respect that you can do it every day...

We lived on Travis AFB ('88-'90),it used to get hot there, but we used to go the 45 miles or so as often as possible to San Fransisco and surrounding area, and the weather was WONDERFUL,sometimes a bit foggy, never too hot, although I see there has been some changes in the weather there over the last few years, still love the whole area though!,can't wait until Don retires, that's definately one place we're going to be revisiting!
