The only significant risk I would see here is that rainfall could pass behind the pool liner and try to float the liner out, but so long as there is concrete apron around the pool to direct water several feet away from the pool, that problem is unlikely IMO. That said, it is generally bad practice to leave a pool empty for longer than the briefest possible time.

the most useful resource for me has been troublefreepool.com forum. It is brilliant and has saved me a small fortune here.

Balancing pool chemistry is the most important thing and there is no way I will ever trust a pool store to do it.

On Friday I have a sewage truck coming to pump out the rest of the dirty water.

On Saturday I have a pool guy coming to install me a new timer for the pump.

Well the digging started last Thursday morning and the pool was in, leveled and plumbed by lunchtime Friday. Our city requires an inspection of the pipework and that happens tomorrow. Once that's done they can finish the back fill and do the concrete around the pool. With luck we should be in it before the end of the month!

Then the landscaping starts - boy did they mess up the garden! Fortunately it was only grass but it was a bit of a shock.
