Helping teacher get GC.
Thought the group might find this interesting. A college professor who came on a H1B trying to get a green card. In the article is a guide to what it will cost his employer, a community college, and himself.

An interesting article, for sure, but I can't help but wonder why the US, collectively, thinks it is OK to deprive India of a chemistry teacher, when surely India needs good teachers as much, if not more, than the US does?

Something doesn't seem right.
It was about 10K for my H1b to I-485 adjustment of status.
Also, his three year H1b is expiring. Why not do what I did; get a two year renewal, followed by a 1 year.

It's all a bit of a moot point anyway, filing under EB-2 or EB-3 for somebody born in India will mean decades of waiting for a green card because the backlog is massive. It's so bad it's basically a waste of time.
