There actually was a gal at DH and my wedding with a hat- one of those lovely garden party ones and she was a Yank, well southern Yank, LOL. She had confided to me years ago, that she always wanted to be Scarlett O'Hara and I think she was just living her fantasy-of course, there is a Brit version of GWTW.

That's one of my favourite F&S sketches of all time! I love it when she throws the dress over "Scarlett" and it's magically on her after the cut scene. Genius.

I am in no way a fashion follower or a girly-girl but I still think wearing a hat or something interesting on your head when you go to a dressy-up do is kind of cool and very British as well.

I'm sure I will, and if not, I'll pluck a few feathers from a stray chicken or something, dye them and make my own head-piece!
For some strange reason that's made me want to say "HOW" and jump around on one leg!

I'd forget I had it on, catch one of the feather deals fluttering out of the corner of my eye and constantly be swatting around my head thinking it was a wasp or something.
