First "it" correct...HBO

The second "it" also referred to HBO. The 2 programs mentioned are 2 more than we watch.....I've heard of Game of Thrones, but never watched it (on HBO or anything else) and I had to google who John Oliver was, at which point I realized I had indeed watched him, but only on YouTube.

HBO vs Netflix is quality over quantity.

There is an awful lot of dated or straight-to-dvd cr@p on Netflix. They have some good stuff (House of Cards was fantastic), but if it wasn't for the kids I'd have unsubscribed by now.

Actually, I love the Roku - we've tried a few other similars, but none quit us as well as the Roku.

Roku is the best bit of electronics I ever bought I think.

We have HBO / Showtime / Encore / Starz, (we got a movie bundle package when we moved into the new house) but we hardly ever watch any of them and will drop them all at the end of the 12 months we signed up for.

80% of our TV comes from Netflix / Prime and the other 20% is mostly iPlayer.

Commercial TV is just complete shit.

Bell is similar to Shaw and Telus. They are our phone/TV/internet provider. We subscribe to HBO as part of our cable TV package.

Again, I must be me f the few people that doesn't like ROKU. I fire it up in the morning to find out what is happening back home via Sky News, but other than that, I never use it. My step daughter does use it quite a bit for Netflix though.

I am not sure of this, there seems so little on it (Netflix), I dont know if they have let lots of contracts expire, or if my expectations are higher, but the choice seems limited, they never seem to have what I look for.

Our local library has a lot of TV shows that are available to check out - Game of Thrones is one of them. We don't mind waiting to watch a popular show....
We also watch Hulu.com (online TV) - currently use the free version which usually has enough to entertain us, although with summer here there is less choice. There are also a LOT of old UK TV shows, old as is from the 1990s and 2000s.
