Its that lack of national identity thing with the US. There's no national news, no big stories affecting everyone (at least not what are constantly banged on about like here in the UK). There are not 2 choices for news in the US on TV, more like 200.
Was out on Saturday night in Lincoln with my childhood mates, everyone in town practically had some comment about the fight.
Pleased you found somewhere to watch it though, sounds like it was fun!

Hatton was following in the footsteps of all those great British hopefuls that never quite made it. Immigration has brightened the UK prospects somewhat though.
