Goodbye tears

Sad a sad farewell to Mrs Dickchap and the kids at Rockhampton airport today. I knew this time would come and that saying farewell for now would be a tear jerker. I just pray that my remaining months/weeks in Oz go quickly so that i can be reunited with my family who i love dearly.

I'm sure Mrs Dickchap will be online once she gets back home to update you all on her feelings etc. Looks like you guys have now got me to shed my Ozzie feelings and views.

Can imagine how you feel. International airports are worse than crematoriums for saying goodbye. I know that's a sad analogy but it's how it feels at the time.

Don't worry, time will fly by and you'll soon be together again. Use this time to think about all the good times you've had and all those you're going to have. Have you got a date for when you get back to the UK yet?

Thanks for your comments. The latest i will stay out here is until Mid October as this is when i will have worked 1 year at my company and only owe them 50% of the relocation fees that they spent on me and my family to come out here. The best scenario would be for my to be made redundant which is a possibility in these hard times at the moment. July time will be the crunch time as alot of our clients will know what there budgets are for the new financial year.

As you say, you knew this time would come. It doesn't make it any easier though does it. Hope it is not too long before you are all reunited again.

Looking forward to the update from Mrs DC.

Well, never thought I would wish redundancy on anyone but if that really is in your best interests then I hope you become redundant - soon!

In the meantime, I wouldnt let them know that Mrs DC has gone for good because they might then realize they could be up for relocation fees if they do make you redundant.

The time will zip past - calendar and big red pen are the order of the day!

Best of luck to you, be strong. Mrs Triboy and I will face the same dilema later in the year, me going her staying a bit longer. :(

The hardest thing is saying good bye. But i'm sure time will fly and before you know it you will be back home with your loved ones.
I wish you all the best and hope the time goes quickly for you.
