Re: Girl Scout Cookies; A Puzzle
I'm just not that organized to be a cookie mom, our cookie mom is pretty fantastic with all that she has to do. Although we all have to help out and sell cookies at booths, etc, but we have a huge troop (20 girls, 3 troop leaders) so it can be hectic.

i dont have many vices - but Night nurse and samoas are probably on the list.
a friends little girl started selling this year so i got a big bagful of them to last me a while - I cant wait for my littlest to be big enough to join GS so I can get a more permanant supplier

Must admit, I find the whole hoo-ha about gs cookies quite odd.
On the one hand, with a first year Daisy, we found them a darn sight easier to sell than the Boy Scout popcorn, part of which must be taste, but also must be partly due to pricing...
On the other hand I find them OK to eat, but if it was purely down to buying biscuits to eat (ie setting aside the fundraising aspect) I would much rather go to a store and buy something decent......choccy digestives, hobnobs, custard creams, proper shortbread etc. I file the whole thing in the same mental box as easter eggs, candy floss, christmas turkey, seaside rock etc......ie we do them because its traditional(a fairly new tradition for us in some cases) rather than because of the actual taste/quality/experience.

So what do you do? Make yourself sick on samoas and then knock yourself out with Night nurse?

I just miss having a little Girl Scout in the block I guess. They're running around with boys and in college now!

Selling girl scout cookies seems to me like dealing crack. It's always a friend of a friend of a friend type thing.

None of them really taste all that great to me, I'm just "meh" about them. They must put some kind of addictive chemical in them though, since I always feel the need to eat more than one.
I always get the suspicion that there is a company out there making a fortune off the labours of young girls by making the cookies.
