Gifts from Jeff
Has anyone placed an order with Amazon and either received additional items in the box, or received the wrong things and on calling to ask about the items you ordered, you have been told not to return the items delivered in error?
We got a dozen LED light bulbs in with an order we received (addressed to Mrs P) last week. Last summer Mrs P received a box addressed to her, with three things in it, none of which were the items she ordered.

Wife is addicted to Amazon.
Numerous occasions she's been told not to worry about a wrong item sent, or additional items in a box.
Unfortunately it's never been anything of major value, but still - a bonus i guess

Hasn't happened in our household and we get a package a day from Amazon as hubby orders daily. Never a wrong item nor a free one.

I thought this might have been an AR15 topic.
No to either.

We were given two decorations when we ordered one and told to keep it, so we donated one to be used in a gift basket raffle.
There's also that scam of cheapo stuff being sent from china to random people and then whoever sent them, does reviews and they appear as verified reviews for product. Usually a couple of really cheap rubbish things, to build up a reputation. It's quite the farm industry.

Never anything sent in error, but I have them send me empty boxes from time to time.

We’ve had a lot of things go missing. And my name’s not Jeff. ;-) Always on the type of shipping that gets transferred to USPS - as soon as they get their mitts on it, they claim that our address is invalid, and the box goes missing. One item got resent five times before it made it.

I didn't know you had relocated to Virginia. We're almost neighbour's now, so I will PM you so we can arrange to meet up some time.
The name on the packing slip for the bulbs was relatively uncommon and in a small town in Virginia, so I easily found a phone number for him, and left him a message to recommend he call Amazon about his order because it had been misdelivered to us!

It hasn't happened to me yet, but I've heard about it happening to others a few times.
A lot of the time companies won't process a physical return because it's not cost effective enough for them to do so. This happens with our Staples orders in work quite a bit, where there is something that is broken or an incorrectly ordered item needed returning and they flat out tell me that if it's below a certain dollar value, they'll process the return of cash to us but won't request a return of the item.

Rather than make one purchase a week, he does it almost daily. He will need something and will go online to Amazon, look for it, order it, and usually it is at the door in two days. With no shipping charges, he is happy. But 8 times out of 10, it is an order for something he needs He needed a new connector for the garden hose (didn't want to buy a new hose) and Home Despot didn't have it and he dislikes Lowe's and won't go into that store, so he ordered it from Amazon.
