And Miami is an extension of Cuba, South Beach is filled with young nubile bodies and jazz clubs, Orlando is a mini-London and the rest of Florida is a vast desert of hospitals, rehabs, senior living homes and trailer parks.
They don't get Canadian geese in the winter but Canadian citizens wearing sandals and socks and the men are called "daddy long legs" by the kids under 30.

Florida good:
- nice beaches
- attractive people in South Beach
- good snorkeling in the Keys
- I enjoy a little WDW / Universal now and again
- no one can hate watching space launches
- good seafood
- low taxes and reasonably good governance
- The weather late Feb - May and late Sep - early Dec
Florida bad:
- I don't really like the beach
- endless, soulless developments and strip malls
- mostly terrible ethnic food
- the worst drivers on the planet
- your house gets wrecked by a hurricane every few years
- lots of genuinely depressing poverty right next to fabulous wealth
- summer in Florida is awful
- nice beaches

Now there are guesstimates that over half a million Canadians flock to Florida every winter season aka the Snowbirds. They seem to be OK with Florida or is that why the state is so bad
