Yes, zzrmark covered other aspects, I had to turn down a job in Belfast because of my military past. I was talking more about what it was like being targeted as an 18 year old in the UK. I don't think it was much different to going to school thinking you may get shot. Being blown up or being shot has much the same outcome.

We couldn't wear uniform while travelling from home to the barracks. We had to get changed on base.

I was National Service so The Troubles were a few years into the future,

My mother whose sister was dying from cancer in Belfast made the trip from England to see her at the height of the troubles. With her it was a case of "to hell with the IRA"

The only restrictions on uniform I recall was while in Singapore. Going into town off duty civvies were required. I never found out the reason why.

Florida is about to vote on arming the only people less likely to want to carry a gun in school besides teachers... the librarians.

I'm actually impressed that they still have librarians to be able to arm in the first place. Most schools aren't well funded enough to have a full time librarian.

In my experience dinner ladies are already quite frightening enough.

As is the food they serve.

I mostly brought a packed lunch to school, so I was rarely at their mercy. The few times I did eat a school dinner, it was usually fish cakes and the dessert had custard thick enough you could have used it to lay bricks with

Cabbage boiled for three hours.

Why did they always do that?

Anyway, this young man is coming - he'll probably take everyone's guns...

Can't watch the video in work, but I wish him well. I can't imagine the disgusting smear campaign he'd have to endure if he ever did run
