wtsp.com | The number of Delta Air Lines passengers who bought tickets with NRA discount: 13
13 passengers bought Delta tickets using the NRA discount. Delta's virtual signalling costs it a $40 million tax break in Georgia.
13 passengers bought Delta tickets using the NRA discount. Delta's virtual signalling costs it a $40 million tax break in Georgia.
"But state Sen. Michael Williams, a rival GOP candidate for governor, said Cagle only joined the fight after Senate Republicans agreed to block Delta's tax break.
“He didn’t have the gumption to say that until the Senate as a body, at least the Republican caucus, united and told him that we weren’t going to support it," Williams told Fox and Friends on Friday. “We had to send a message that we’re not going to support crony capitalism in Georgia."
So nothing to do with removing this NRA discount...

Re: Florida shooting
If Walmart etc won't sell to 18-20 years olds, the customer just goes to an actual gun shop that stocks the same guns anyway.

Sending business to mom and pop stores is never a bad thing, spotty 18 year old oicks might grumble at having to pay a bit more though...

I have bought from here, usually better prices and a much better selection that the likes of WalMart, you have to go through your local Dealer, often a Mom and Pop.

Re: Florida shooting
I see the Crackers in Georgia wasted little time in yanking the tax breaks from Delta.
Just shows the absolute power of the NRA

It would be interesting to know what proportion of the NRA's income comes from foreign governments' budgets, criminal proceeds etc. It's hard to believe that these Russian officials who have life membership in the NRA actually paid out of their personal funds, rather than charging it to expenses..

Re: Florida shooting
I was thinking back to growing up in England. Was it bad that an 18 year old was not allowed to wear military uniform in public for fear of being targeted? We had to check our cars before and leaving the barracks. That I had to keep constant check on garbage cans. Eventually these were removed, so that became less of an issue.

Re: Florida shooting
Plenty of other states were courting Delta, with tax breaks to see if they would move, so that could also be interesting.

Re: Florida shooting
Just shows how times have changed. In the far off days of the early 1960s we were proud to be wearing our uniforms in public. There were also occasional acts of kindness and appreciation. One elderly lady offered to buy me a cup of tea at Paddington railway station. She thought I was hard up.
mrken30 didn't cover the full list of restrictions, such as no pleasure travel to Ireland whilst serving and recommendation not to visit when no longer enlisted.
