Florida shooting

Re: Florida shooting
So let's recap;
FBI is tipped off TWICE that this is a probable school shooter.
Broward Sheriff's Office is called 18 times reporting Cruz threats and behavior.
School has repeatedly suspended him and regards him as a threat, even going so far as to warn to be on the lookout if he has a backpack on campus.
School Resource Officer doesn't do the post-Columbine tactic. Hides.
Yet somehow gun-owners are the "fascist enablers" and this is all our fault. Get the guns!
Rolls eyes.
My friend says, there's blood in the water this time. This is different.
I don't think so. This is going to backfire on CNN.

Oh, you're preaching to the choir here. I was only mentioning the presence of police in schools as an argument against throwing more guns at the problem.
Though, it seems in this case he could have done something if he'd got on scene faster than he did. Not that he could necessarily have saved everyone, but he surely could have taken down the shooter before 17 kids were killed.

If guns made people safe, then the US would the safest nation in the first world. Instead, it has the highest homicide rate.
Ironically, the US homicide rate is on par with those developing nations that Trump hates so much.

Or is the gun and badge just for show now?
Seems his [ex] colleagues are pretty angry with him.

You can add "guns", "crime", "Chicago", "Detroit" and "inner city" to that list of code.

We are.
Central and South America still has the US beat for gun homicide rates, I believe, but certainly comparing with other high income-rate countries the US is a clear winner.
As far as mass shootings go, it's way out in the lead. I believe the Philippines rank 2nd.

What I do know that going in without backup could have made it worse.
What caused the problem was providing easy access to weapons.

Re: Florida shooting
The US also has advanced trauma care that can keep a lot of gunshot victims from becoming homicides (although they may be badly hurt and not to be envied.)
Odd how some Americans take pride in having a homicide rate in line with Kazakhstan.

Nail on the head. All us other gun-owners are clearly enablers according to RoadWarrior who should probably stop diluting down the de-icer he's clearly been drinking.
So law-abiding gun owners who follow the letter of the law in obtaining their firearms (regardless of whether you agree with the fact they are able to own such weapons) are being held responsible for a number of high-level authorities dropping the ball NUMEROUS times.

Re: Florida shooting
Massive systematic failure by federal and local government (FBI and BSO) and the school system.
On September 28th, 2016, deputies and social workers were called to the school after Cruz attempted suicide by drinking gasoline and cutting himself.
So massive systematic failures of government. Your "solution" - more of the same. Address the real problem.
You're despicable to be honest. Racist trolling and fallacious arguments to push your agenda. Shame on you. Shame on you.

Sorry, but you've pretty much blown whatever credibility that you may have had. If you had any integrity, then you wouldn't associate with such people.

Re: Florida shooting
The armed guy with training (limited probably but he was a cop for 30 years apparently) stood a much better chance than the football coach.
What was so hard to grasp?
