Default Fish paste

Does anyone remember the various flavors of paste available in the UK? I'm talking about the stuff you would spread on a cream cracker....

After five years I'm craving this stuff. I tried to google but came up with nothing. I can't remember the brand.

Is there an equivalent readily available?

Shippams Salmon Paste. There's a wine store near me that sells British goodies...they sometimes have it on the shelf.

Shippams?

I miss all the veggie spreads you can get in the UK, I used to use them for sandwiches. Here it's cheese or peanut butter.

edit: JG beat me to it

Mmmm I used to love that stuff. I even brought a few jars back in my luggage on my last trip. I got it at Tesco.

I went to Big Lots and bought Jacobs crackers for 1.50 a pack and it brought back a lot of memories.

So far only cheese on them, but I remember my mom making them with paste on....

They sell spreads in the English store in TO. I only know because it made me chuckle, I thought who in their right mind would miss that crap, and now I have found the answer

Don't know if you can get it out of New England, but I've seen it around MA....Duck Trap...they make awesome fish paste and smoke salmon.

Small place up in Maine that makes it.
