Hi Pulaski,

Thanks for the link. I think we might have to go down the route of creating our own range with equipment from somewhere like here. Cheaper and can get service and warranty. We'll aim for fryers and warmers with counters around it, but order the chipper and peeler from UK.

Oh, and I dare say we can sort you for a haddock on your visit

Didn't old Walt Raleigh take spuds from the colonies back to the UK. So therefore the spuds here are the proper ones.

There doesn't seem any way to source the fryer over here, leaving only the option of importing one at great expense from the UK! We want to replicate the chip-shop experience from back home, so the right fryer is essential.

Any help is appreciated!!
Ok I am really curious: what is the difference in end result between a standard deep fryer found in restarurants and a fish-n-chip deep fryer? Both type dunk the potatoes in the hot oil and Both have baskets.

Was just looking online and learned that a British company called Hopkins specializes in selling Fish-N-Chip fryers

Most stuff is made in China so it's worth taking a look at the offerings directly from the factory. Aliexpress is the 'one off' version of Alibaba.com (the factory -> wholesaler website)

Shop fish fryer online Gallery - Buy fish fryer for unbeatable low prices on AliExpress.com

Just make sure you get one that works in the USA.

Another person wanting Haddock

Worked in a chippy many years ago for a few months to help somebody out. Still much prefer haddock to anything else.
