Default Firsts for 2017

I have decided during 2017 I am going to run a marathon. I just can't decided if I should run half a mile a week, or a mile every other week.

I have decided that I will be on the sidelines with a bottle of water, a fifth of scotch and a towel to watch Lansbury run the marathon.

Can't build up tolerance doing a run only once ever other week. Do the shorter run weekly.

I think he means 26 miles over the whole year not all at once

They make the time pass fast, and you end up looking forward to the walk/run for the next instalment.

Scraped too many people up off the road where their earphones stopped them hearing the car that hit them. Unfortunately we don't have an open space that has reasonably level longish walking trails near by.

Just don't go in the next 6 weeks or so, as many gyms are packed with people feeling obligated to try to fulfil New Year's resolutions. Classes will be full, machines will be busy etc.
