Default Favourite getaway places

My all time fav spot has to be Charleston SC. A great walk around city with lots of history, wonderful inns and restaurants, and nearby beaches. just a few hours drive away, so can do a "getaway" often. Share your fav spot with the rest of us on BE

Great suggestion, thanks. We live in NC and were disappointed when we went to the east coast of NC last Sept, and want somewhere different to do for a weekend this Sept, and Charleston sounds like a great idea.

San Francisco for me - nice to go down there and relax, plus I never get tired of seeing the bay and the Golden Gate etc

Block Island, Rhode Island for us. Not a lot to do, which is wonderful. 9 miles of beaches for the most part they are unfit for swimming but great for walking and fishing. Lots of ponds and wildlife and great seafood. A cozy little B&B and you are set for a lovely week/end.

well miami was my favourite place but its a bit shit, expensive and crap restaurants. costa rica is pretty nice. guess camden town is my favourite place. or san francisco. my wife likes nice beaches, i like dingy smokey boozers in camden.
