So very sad of course when anyone gets cancer.... but to have your struggle made into a documentary as I suppose Jade Goodie did as well, not that you can really compare the 2 people but never the less very brave people indeed.

The documentary is tonight and I am going to watch it, no idea why, is it morbid fascination why we watch these kinda fly on the wall reports.

Anyone else going to get the tissue box ready!!

I saw a 5 minute trailer for it last night and was already bawling. They were interviewing Ryan O'Neal about it. It was so sad, he obviously loves her very much.

Won't be watching it, but hasn't the poor woman been suffering from anal cancer? That's not one I'd heard of before reading an article about Farrah, and not one that would get talked about a lot, I am sure. Don't know how the programme will go, but it will raise the profile of that, I am sure. :(

I thought and I must be wrong, that bowel cancer was the silent and deadly one, that is hard to detect, and was in the top 3 for cancer deaths.

So I was wrong I thought it was one of the same but ...http://www.surgery.usc.edu/divisions...talcancer.html

Well I had it on in the backgound

Brilliant bit of PR work... for them both

Farrah says that she would have liked to have kept her cancer private, but realized others might benefit from learning about her experiences.

Yere right~!!!

I'm so pissed! We got a huge storm here tonight and I lost my cable, so no TV for me! I had set the DVR to record the documentary, but that didn't work either! Does anyone know if it's going to be shown again? I really did want to watch it :fingerscrossed:

I watched it and felt very sad...another life cut short by this horrid disease.:(

I've not heard where the proceeds of this program are going to...I hope it's for cancer research.

Look on the NBC website...you may be able to view it on-line...sometimes programs aren't available for 24 hrs.

.....or to bail her son out of jail again:sneaky:

I know the publicity may make people more aware of the symptoms but is "the fly on the wall" type documentary really necessary? I don't watch this type of thing. If you want to help promote awareness there are other ways....

Yes I managed to watch the full 2 hours, I had a few tears at the end when you saw Ryan laying in bed with Farrah and they were sleeping, his arm was around her.

Pleased I watched it, for me personally I found it very touching and informative.

I'm sure there was a similar scene in Love Story.
