Make sure you all take some vitamins as antibiotics not only kill the bad stuff but some of the good stuff too!
Hope you all feel better soon.

I just heard yesterday that vitamins were unhealthy and lead to an early grave.

Not just over there but here in the UK, too, folk with chest infections of late. I too passed through some dreadful coughing bouts (and asthma) about six weeks ago. To ease the asthma and the strain on my chest I had a course of steroids but then started coughing blood. My doctor sent me for an x-ray. My lungs showed full capacity (the steroids had worked) and the chest infection on my right side. He placed me on a week's course of antibiotics. A week later I had another x-ray. Got the results yesterday - all clear. I've still got a cough though, but not as harsh and as frequent.

Recently, my stepson in the US Navy, contracted a chest infection and started coughing blood. On reading this thread it makes me wonder what the hell is going on, and why so wide spread? Is nature or man responsible? Or a combination of both?

Hope you and your family are all well again soon. Our family is doing ok now, but for a few months it felt like everyone was ill off and on constantly. My daughter had one thing after another and had to have quite a lot of time off of school, she had strep throat and then mono (glandular fever) one after the other.
