Don't know if they showed Father Ted in the US, but DH and I introduced his sister to it via DVD. She absolutely LOVES it, bought both of the other series and it's just about her favourite comedy now.

BBC America showed it around the time I moved out here, late 2005, but that was the only time I ever remember seeing it on a TV listing since I've been here.

Amazon Prime Video has it (did have season 1 free at one point), something like $10.99 a season.

I think religion is taken too seriously here. I bet many people found it offensive rather than hillarious.

I rarely watch American TV anyway. To night I'll be watching 'The Tunnel' and 'In the Club' Never seen Eurovision, when I left the UK there were only three Channels.
