Default English foods (especially sweets)

Wanted to share / gloat with you all that yesterday I found Bounty bars, both milk and dark chocolate, Cadbury's Dairy Milk, Toffee Crisps, Lion bars, Milkybars, Curly Wurlys, Terry's milk chocolate orange bars, Fox's ginger cream biscuits, walnut whips (both in single and 6 packs) Munchies, walkers crisps in single size bags (cheese & onion, smoky bacon, salt & vinegar and worcester sauce) Aero mint and chocolate bars, fruit pastilles and fruit gums.
I was in heaven.
In fact it was a shop called Sweets From Heaven, I think they can be found at most malls (I was at Concord Mills, NC).
Mostly anything else Cadbury's can be found at World Market, along with a lot of groceries like PG Tips and Typhoo tea, Heinz beans, salad cream, Pataks curry sauces, and loads of other stuff.

I can find pretty much all of that in my local supermarket! My hubby was most impressed with the mint aero I brought home for him on Sunday. I was tempted by the Yorkie myself but then I remembered they're not for girls...

Cool! If I had a franchise, I would sell nothing but English sweets in there.

When I first moved to Maine I was happy to discover an English Goods shop just 20 minutes down the road in Freeport. Two years later the house next door was sold and I was even happier to discover that my new neighbours were the owners of that store!

Damn....spell check is telling me that neighbours should be neighbors.

One of our local supermarkets has a box full of out-of-date raisin and biscuit Yorkies with the chunks all snapped apart but wrappers intact (for about $1.40 a go). Keep meaning to point this out to them and make them an offer...

Hmm I can get these as well. I can also get Galaxy bars, Mars bars, and yes, I found DOUBLE DECKERS.

I have it sitting on the table and have not yet opened it. Thinking of opening a mail order house for these items

I'm really curious if it is the real stuff made with sugar or the Americanized version made with high fructose corn syrup. Not for any other reason than personal curiosity... so if you have a spare moment and don't know what to do with it... *hint* lol. Thanks.

Oh and enjoy! (But not too much ).

If you don't mind Emma your posts are a little heavy on the eyes ...normal font is the way to go around here.

There are loads of stores where you can find British goods...it's just a question of finding them.

Also check the World Foods section in Shaws, you can usually find British food there although massively overpriced. I buy Golden Syrup there for my porridge and flapjack.

My kids love Weetabix so we're buying the Organix Weetabix because it's half the price of British Weetabix.

Organic Weetabix is about 2 dollars in Trader Joes. I eat it every morning!
The funniest thing about my supermarket is that they include these items in their 'sale' list, this week the Fruit Gums and Fruit Pastilles were 2/$5.
Ribena is still $7.50 a bottle though, which means no Ribena for my hubby. And imagine paying $7 for a bottle of salad cream. A regular sized bottle at that. Not likely!
