Eeewwww
A month or so ago - I treated myself to a fancy wallet (i would call it a purse in the uk). Its fab - has loads of pockets for credit cards or driving licences etc and was made of some smart fabric.
Then today i dropped the damn thing in the loo at target. It fell out of my coat pocket as i turned round to flush! I had to stuff it in a plastic bag as i have had loads of appointments today and coulndt deal with it til now. (i fished out a credit card and washed that whilst still in target so ive been using that all day). Ive just spent 20 minuites washing all the plastic cards and coins etc - and discarding any paper etc. Ive actually bunged the purse itself in the washing machine but I suspect it will come out unusable - so i am really annoyed with myself! Anyone else do anything so stupid? |
Re: Eeewwww
I made homemade chicken soup once and was draining out the broth from the chicken parts. Sounds fine, right? Then I realized that I was straining the broth right down the sink rather than into a container. All I had left was cooked chicken parts.

When I was a young, inexperienced camper on a dark night, I took the flashlight (translation: torch) to the Porta Potty. It never came back.
Fortunately, we have not had any Unfortunate Incidents with the construction toilet. Figners crossed for the wallet/bag! |
Re: Eeewwww
I have lost two cell phones down the loo. Both times they fell out of my pocket and into the pan. First was post flush, so I rescued that one, second was pre flush. It was first thing in the morning and just couldn't bring myself to rescue it, flushed the loo and it went on a long journey!

Re: Eeewwww
When I was back in College we had a week of pretty nasty rain up in Newcastle. I sneezed and my glasses fell off my face into the gutter at the side of the road where they were quite quickly washed down the drain by all the rain water.
Was useless when it came to reading without them so I had myself a couple of days off while I got that situation sorted. |

Re: Eeewwww
well i got the purse out of the washing machine last night and it looked fine - ie i expected it to be all bent up and floppy as it likely hard 'cardboard' inside to stiffen it in places. It actually looked like brand new. Its on the counter drying at the moment and all the cards etc are lying on paper towel drying after their wash in the sink. So think I may have gotten away with it.

Re: Eeewwww
a number one wouldn't be so bad, but a number 2 could be a bit more awkward :D
Anyway, I've had a phone thrown at me when drunk, so I missed that went straight into a bog....put one through the laundry machine....and errr...about it... |

Now clearly out of spare tires, got my wife to pick me up and got the bad tire in the trunk fixed the next day (again using the wife's car). Went back to my stranded car and put in on to make it mobile again. And all this of course occurred on a night my wife REALLY needed me home on time so I could look after the baby while she went to pick up a friend at the airport. I ended up going with her to the airport since she picked me up on the way, and of course we had to bring the baby who was not impressed to be out and about at 8:00PM. 2 punctures in one incident... pretty stupid. |
