Just like here on the rare occasion there was ice the prevailing view was go faster to get over it quicker.

You will also likely be able to take your test much sooner. I faced a three month wait for a test in the suburbs of NYC, but got a test date the following week in the back-of-beyond in up-state New York.

It's a turn up and wait system in Il. You do everything in one visit, no appointments. I agree some centres will be busier than others though.
