Look, it's ok, you can still fix this. Have a little sit down and a cup of tea, then get back out there fella and try again.

Plot twist - you didn't go in because it was closed.

How is that possible? I am sure that if he passed a Gregg's in "the morning" that was closed then he would have reported buying a kebab.

Ooh Greggs. That had somehow escaped my memory,

I loved there sausage and cheese hot slices. In fact I miss Ginsters slices too that you could buy in supermarkets, I loved the spicy chicken ones.

And Cornish pasties. Where can I get a cornish pasty in the US? Or real Cod and chips??

I give up. I want to go home

Head to North Charleston, SC and visit The Cod Father.

The only downside is that they only fry cod, not haddock.

Not sure the CODfather is any better to be honest....

... I shall take the recommendation into consideration the next time we are in Myrtle Beach. Surely I can find something in Charleston to segway lunch into

I have to ask, at the risk of being admonished for plagiarism, do you never just suspend disbelief for shits and grins?

No, it isn't, but at least it makes sense.

You're reaching again.

Anyway, good luck finding haddock this side of the Atlantic, they tend to be more abundant on the North Sea side than around here.
