Domestic terrorist in the family
 

A Kaleb Cole is a relative of mine by marriage, I knew he had extreme right leanings, but it was still a shock to be told of news articles discussing that he was a leader of the local State cell of "Atomwaffen Division", a Nazi organization promoting terrorist activity, and linked to five murders by members or those inspired by them. The links between these Nazis and ISIS is no better seen than by a former member who converted to Islam and killed house mates for making fun of him. Looking up the group on Stormfront, it seems even the run of the mill Nazis think they are extreme, some assuming them to be an FBI entrapment.
It really is time we started calling these right wing killers terrorists, they organize on the cell structure and encourage lone wolf attacks, its part of the plan; just like ISIS do.
Extended family get togethers are never going to be the same, as we will now have to establish that he isnt there, as I dont want to be caught on his FBI wire taps. Its weird to think i have been in the same house with him and talked with him.

The Nazis and Klan are pretty much a joke now. Nothing like Islamic jihadists, as far as seriousness of threat and ability to carry it out goes. No one is scared to verbally attack Nazis and the Klan, but virtually all media figures are scared to criticize Islam , because of threat to life and fear of being branded racist.

For blacks, the danger from law enforcement is a galatically bigger threat.

Crazy. Sucks when one happens to have a relative in a questionable lifstyle.

It can really affect others through no fault of their own in a negative way and sometimes even job loss. Simply because of a relatives lifestyle.

Not sure about the US but north of the border folks have lost jobs due to security clearances being pulled because they had a family member involved in crime or a questionable lifestyle.

I'm sure there are several of us who have thought twice about taking a job because of the family - and in some cases, close friends - details required for a thorough security clearance

You shouldn't want to be in the same gathering as him because he's violent and unstable, not because of FBI wiretaps. Very likely the FBI knew he was a Nazi long before you did, and they also know that you're not one. This would not keep me up one minute at night.

I looked at the group's website, and at the NYT and Propublica articles.

Odd that they are called Atomwaffen, which apparently means atomic weapons, but no mention of the significance of that.

Interesting that the group doesn't encourage "keyboard warriors" or members who blab to outsiders - and yet a key member, Hubsky I think his name was, talked to Propublica (and discussed online) group activities.

I was also interested to note that this group is so extremist that they don't toe the usual extremist right wing line of being patriotic US flag wavers. They've photographed themselves burning the flag, and the US Constitution....

How would you explain that position to members of the murdered families?
ADFL figures state that for 2017, 18 murders by white supremacists, 9 by islamists in US

Which makes sense given the rhetoric of the wording of equality in the Constitution, their guru, James Mason, talks about left and right still being establishment thus need for complete revolution and restart. Though they seem more sociopath wanting to throw everyone's toys out of all prams, rather than seeing chaos and anarchy as an opportunity for change. They seem to have no plan how to manipulate the chaos in to race war.

According to HuffPost, they're "race war" proponents a la Charles Manson's cult in the late 1960s. (Their murders of Sharon Tate et al in Hollywood back then were supposed to ignite a US-wide war between blacks & whites.)

My tone is absent from my post, the actual reason for wishing for no further contact is to not bring lgbt members of family near him for safety issues.

We should never become complacent about these groups and their activities. Nor about any language or actions by people apparently more mainstream that blows wind into their sails or emboldens them.

Never one to play against type, Trump has cut federal funding for fighting domestic terrorism. You really don't have to guess what Trump is all about . . . he's always happy to show you.
