You can cook them and then you can freeze them. :)

Not really sure how longer the freezer has been broken for. Could be a few days.

Are they still cold to touch, like they would be in a fridge? If so, they're fine for cooking and refreezing.

No they are warm and squishy.

Ahhh... then I wouldn't, not knowing how long the freezer had been out.

:(

Edit: not the same, I know, but I'm getting by on the Brats with Beer. I even found some good ones with cheese and jalapenos last week. The Italian sausage is just weird.

Sorry to hear that, though I have to disagree with the thread title; having your freezer fail is a disaster, losing British sausages is a catastrophe! :(

How many coyotes scratching at the door? If three or less, you might be able to survive eating a couple of sausages.

Also depends on the health insurance situation...not a lot of downside if you've already covered this years deductible......;)

My condolences.

Terrible news. I had sausage and mash for tea yesterday if that helps.

Or toss one to the coyote and see if it keels over. :sneaky:

If you don't mind me asking... where do you get your British sausages from?

Re: Disaster

Drop him a PM with your address on - I heard he's got some "overstock" going cheap....:D

Re: Disaster

hahaha! I don't think I want to take THOSE ones... even though I have met my out of pocket on my medical insurance (having an emergency c section will do that...) I really don't fancy a stay in a hospital right now especially given that hubby is leaving me along with the little lady for a week as he has to go to China!

Unless you class some of the food in USA as odd. I shall stay away from some of the corner Mexican places!

R J Balson & Sons http://www.balsonbutchers.com/products/honey-pork for 6lbs to 10lbs shipping is $15. They have worked out a way to ship UPS/Fedex ground and keep the stuff fresh. They can send to most of the country that way.

Most other places ship 2nd day air and it is ridiculously expensive.

Thank you. I will have a look into it. Fresh and Easy are the best I have found so far :(

Re: Disaster

actually what I do miss sausage wise from the UK are the Vienna sausages you get in the kosher shops/sections in London - come to think of it they are just like the Hebrew franks!!!!!
Oh theres a theme!!!

plus the FF ones are only 1 weight watcher point -pop in boiling water - take off heat - leave 6 mins -shove between 2 pieces of bread - bit of mustard (yellow anyone??) and bobs yer uncle!!!!

That was dinner last night - preceded by 2 hard boiled eggs

Ah life in the fast lane of the USA

Count yourself lucky. There's a bloke in the Maple Leaf - Ice maker packed up. Apparently he hasn't realized the whole appliance is buggered.
