Scouse Express

We've had 4 and a half hours of freezing rain, so far, tonight. It is supposed to switch to snow around midnight and we're supposed to get 8 inches of snow, by the morning.

Is anyone else having a rough time of it????

Oh, and no need for responses from the Peanut Gallery in Florida and Southern Texas, either, saying how warm it is etc., thank you very much

Its just rolling into central Illinois ..the wind is howling and ice pellets rattling the windows ....its not supposed to be too bad here ...2 inches of snow at worst

We escaped worst of it up here although a balmy -15 f if you factor in wind chill.

south-central Texas is chilly and windy, around freezing with a bracing wind. Not as bad as where you are, but cold enough for me!

I used to like the snow and cold rugged up in my little house in Illinois it was always so snuggy lol..

Better then Christmas here on the Norfolk Broads its damp today, cold and foggy and the Jehovahs have just visited at 9.30am what more could one want lol..

Pretty chilly here in Michigan too. I just went to the car and thought mrs sod had locked the door. It was frozen shut. The neighbours fence has been blown down too (which is great as she is a right old bag!!!!) The snow melted last night but we are expecting more tonight to replace it. My buddy in Alabama swears he could not ever live here. He is black though and is always banging on about needing the sun on his skin and that kind of bollox. This is a guy from frikkin manchester FFS!!!

Anyway, nine dead in the midwest already so lets be careful out there okay.

Snowing like hell, here, too! Very difficult to get around.....even though I have 4 wheel drive. We have 40mph winds blowing everything around.

It's pretty mild here today and has been raining almost all day. But last weekend we had freezing rain saturday night/sunday morning and then high winds, we lost our power 7am sunday and didn't get it back until tuesday night. It was really freaky, tree branches down all over the place and it looked as if the ground was covered in broken glass.

I still find it kind of exciting to live in a country with such wild weather conditions. In Manchester, UK, the worst you will get is some sustained drizzle. The weather report says - and today we can expect fine rain, fanned slightly to the left by strong winds of up to half a mile an hour. The folks back home are in awe when I tell them about the tornado warning sirens, the ice storms, and the blizzards. Bring it on God!!!

Plenty of snow here main thing is the wind blowing it making it a bit naughty to drive in.

Now on days like this I wonder why I came and how quickly my boss would like that chat about the Valencia operation.
