The F150 is one of the best selling vehicles ever but ford should really shut up about it, neither company is a threat to the other. But it is good publicity for Ferrari.

...doesn't mean the F150 is any good...

I remember seeing an advert here for one of these types of vehicles... if it wasn't a 150, then it was trying to compete with it...

The ad trumpeted new technology to bring 23mpg and 390BHP... new tech including leaf springs...

... I'm still chuckling to myself even now...
... right up to the point I ask myself "Why?"

Jeremy Clarkson actually loved this car. At 3:27 he says "it's faster than any car you can buy today."

I don't know. I assume the Veyron is faster. Anyway, they show the Ford F150 in this clip too. I know, I know - the engine is heavily modded.

Thats quite bizarre. I would have thought Ford would be quite happy to see their truck aligned with a multiple world champion F1 team.... Surely it can only do the image some good?

It may date back to when Ford were going to buy Ferrari but Enzo backed out I believe there was a lot of bad feeling that led to Ford building the GT40 solely to beat Ferrari
