A fabulous beat to this one! "Hey, sweet thing, you look like a possible eight..."

Justin Moore is currently heading my list of best lines in a song with the underrated line 'You look like I need a drink!'

Who doesn't love "Rhinestone Cowboy" by Glen Campbell? It's from the movie "Midnight Cowboy"
He is now 80 years old and sadly he is suffering from Alzheimer's.

This is a lovely, catchy song.
The singers are actually sisters....from Sweden! I have a Country music compilation of women singers and they are on it, but not this song:

This version of the Nine Inch Nails song, "Hurt" by Johnny Cash is both beautiful and heart rending...he died a few days after shooting the video.

The OP has no doubt been learningwhat a wide, wide variety of songs get classed as "Country". We would be remiss if we didn't remind her of this classic.

Alternatively, and also hypothetically, if everyone who played the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville was country, then this would be my #1 favourite country band.

And if you've worked your way through that lot, try some Garth Brooks, Travis Tritt (already mentioned) Glen Campbell and ….. Suzy Bogguss has the most amazing voice! And if you want a good laugh … Kip Attaway, but don't play it in respectable company :-)

The fact that the roses are in fact looking really good this year inspired me to post this George Jones classic:
Elvis Costello did a nice version of the song.
And here is Johnny Cash with a great Kris Kristofferson song, to get you ready for Sunday morning:

A song written by unknown person in late 1800's I have always liked. I am trying to post a link which may not be successful. Wabash Cannonball by Roy Acuff, the version that has a train with two smoke stacks and lyrics below video.https://youtu.be/6yhvv234oaA
This link may or not be correct. My first attempt to post a link on my iPad.https://youtu.be/6yhvv234oaAhttps:
