connecting Utilities
Can anyone give me some advise into having the utilities connected to the property I eventually purchase. Can all the companies connect to any property or some some area specific. Is it best to have gas/elec/water from the one or does a Govt body manage the water like in Australia. ANy help/advice and pitfalls to look out for would be much appreciated.

Re: connecting Utilities
Some websites only promote the companies when they get commission from them so they may not promote the cheapest utility company so check around several sites.
Water is usually the local water company and you don't get any choice there (unless things have changed in the last 6 months).
Bundling utilities together such as gas/elec/phone/mobile/broadband may give you a better deal. We found that Utility Warehouse were pretty good, but I was an active distributor for them back then. Not so active now I'm in Australia
