Yep
College games don't serve over priced booze so you smuggle it in instead
Thankfully most of the girls I know are packing a decent pair (I think its all the beer southern gals drink) so theres at least room for a 'sixth' of liquor
I've had a few judgemental glares from upstanding members of the community on a family day out with the kids, who unlike us are not on an all day bender which starts with three hours of tailgating; shotgunning beers and eating burgers in the parking lot...

My wife and her friend have got to be teh worst OSU alumni ever. Her friend lives in Chicago right by an 9apparently) big OSU bar. My wife is visiting her this weekend. Her answer to my question of if they are going to watch the game? "No, we want to go shopping and to a museum"

There are OSU dedicated bars in most cities--as the alum number is in the zillions (more or less). My BIL is in LA and they need to arrive 4-5 hours early for most matches if they want a seat (and if it's a game they can't watch at home).
I don't care for college football, but it's hard not to get caught up in it a bit. We're off to a friends house to watch. My husband's family are split on this--2 went to U of M and 1 to OSU (the rest were wise and went elsewhere) but as most live in Ohio it's all Bucks.

You still a Stockport supporter Manc? I've got friends in Stockport (well, Cheadle to be exact) and even they don't like the team. But coming from Bournemouth originally, i'm not really one to talk about crap football teams.

I've tried my best to get into American Rugby (it's not football, so I don't use the term) but it's seriously boring. I will sit down to thanksgiving dinner with the wife’s uncles etc next week and wont have a clue what they are on about when they start discussing this sh1t game, but I couldn’t give a toss.
We actually have a college team here called the ducks and the whole city loves them like they are gods.
Sorry but it's hard to get excited about a team of 19 year old schoolboys, most of whom I see every day on the University campus with their oversized headphones and "I really don't want to be here" look on their faces.
The whole idea of going through college by playing a sport is a joke anyway.

The game lived upto two teams ranked #1 & #2. I enjoyed it although I was probably hoping Michigan would carry it.

I gather there was some college football thing going on in my town today.15 kabillion people in RV's parked on every available spare piece of concrete or grass with their faces painted blue and white at 7 in the morning. Loads of roads blocked off, you'd have thought a natural disaster had occurred. Bloody 'ell, what a pain in the balls. Apparently people get very het-up about the Nittany Lions. I still don't know if they lost or not or who they were playing.
