Re: Christmas Number One
Very happy to see this is No. 1.
Merry Christmas & uneventful New Year to all serving overseas, and their loved ones waiting at home - with great thanks.

It's a brillint song, and is applicable to any country where people are serving abroad. It started as a BBC programme to create a choir from a group of people, and evolved into the choir and the song based on letters from members of the serving forces. The BBC has been plugging it unashamedly, which was the right thing to do as it goes back to some of the real spirit an meaning of Christmas.

I agree.
I must admit I shed a few tears the first time I heard it - very moving.
What next for them?

Here is the moment the women first hear the words to the new song. Some of the women started crying within seconds of hearing it.
