Default Charities that have auctions...

I'm looking for charities that have auctions since I want to donate a bunch (about 100) backpacks.

Or charities that need backpacks - any ideas?

None of the big ones please.

Sorry I can't help...but have you thought about contacting a few local schools and asking if they have students in need of a new backpack? I gave all my daughter's long dresses to a nearby high school for those who couldn't afford prom dresses. I like the idea of helping local people.

Locally I've seen fire departments holding drives to collect backpacks to help underprivileged kids with their back to school gear. If you are in an area where kids don't need help, contact your nearest inner-city school district.

Local food pantry?

Ours take school supplies, bags and coats to give to families with food, so that might be a option?

Your local CASA office or Child Protective Services would love to take them.
