The thing about landies is, though the old old ones are very basic, they go anywhere, and when they breakdown, they can be fixed without special parts or tools.

Usually if the issue the wrong engine you can petition to repatriate the car usually to the port of origin not Canada or Mexico.
It has to be in a container which is sealed by Customs. This is after all fines and storage fees have been paid.
There were around 40 Rovers impounded in Norfolk VA a couple of months ago.
