choc bark, just melt choc on to baking sheet and choch in candy corn, set and smash the gonads out of it...but she adds something to the choc as it melts.

Does something similar for x-mas with white choc, mint and broken candy cane...

I think I've heard of it, but can't remember seeing it before.

I'm using Halloween candy corn to decorate cupcakes at the moment and I looked at the packaging closely and noticed that the contents are made in Mexico! It gave my Mexican coworkers a laugh. An American institution now made in Mexico.

Candy corn's OK. Nothing special. I eat it but if I bought a bagful, I'd end up throwing most it away because it'd go stale.

I've never liked candy corn, though it's certainly welcome as a sign of the season. :)

I DO like caramel Granny Smith apples. :yum:

It could be worse - there are definitely worse accents out there that they could pick up!

It'll be okay. If they live in the UK someday, will they be a novelty? :)

Aye, I do thanks. As a pagan ritual designed to scare off evil spirits on All Hallows Eve - the night before All Saints Day.

That doesn't excuse snotty little kids knocking on my door wearing Batman and Princess costumes. WTF is scary about THAT? Or college age adults wearing "slutty nurse", or "slutty witch" or "slutty slut" outfits.

Pur-lease. If you want the bejesus scared outta you, go to church instead.

I'm currently expecting our first baby, and my Dad's already making fun of its accent... I'm not sure I dare take them to the UK until they're old enough to take their Grandad in a fight...!

No argument , snowbunny thought it a good idea to come out slinging silly names , should have put some thought into the post rather than rudeness.
It only showed the poster up as a fool , no argument there.

Britain is comprised of England , Scotland , Wales and..where else ?

Careful....be very careful....if you want your house to look like an Andrex commercial then go ahead :)

Otherwise I'd just not anser the door.

Thats what I hope to do, even though we've got hundreds and hundreds maybe over a thousand sweets now.

Bleaugh, I hate candy corn.

We don't get many kids in our neighbourhood, but our friends always have a ton, so in years past we've set up chairs in their drive and watched the kids there. A lot of their neighbours go all-out with the decorations, too. It's a lot of fun!

With Halloween being on a Friday this year, I doubt we'll go.

Er, where do you live? I would gladly give a treat to any of the highlighted above in return for a trick. :)

We live so far out that we don't get anyone coming to the door unless they are very, very lost. So we dress the kids up and drive them into town. There's a couple subdivisions there that go all out with the Dads passing out beer and hotdogs to the adults and all the yards done up with fog and sound effects etc...

At our old apartment in the 'hood (before we had kids) my wife thought it would be fun to pass out candy. After three of the first five "kids" were about as big as I was and hadn't even bothered to put on any kind of costume (Well, one "kid" that was about 5'10" was wearing a ski mask and a hoodie, we saw him through the window and I told my Wife "You get the candy, I'll get the shotgun...")

You ever tried buying a costume online for women? All you can buy are outfits with the word "slutty" attached. "Slutty Wizard of Oz", "Slutty Schoolgirl", "Slutty Firefighter"... etc...

Why are women supposed to look like tarts at Halloween? Why can't we look like witches and wizards, green skin, big noses, stripey tights, warts and all? Why do we STILL have to look attractive?

It makes me sad. :(

I was talking to a friend of mine in Milwaukee, Wisconson on Sunday. She said all the kids around her area went out that day (Sunday) during the day, to do their trick or treating. I said what? What do they do then on the 31st? She said nothing...they have done daylight trick or treating on a weekend over there for years because it's too dangerous to go out at night on whichever night the 31st falls on! That was sad to hear! Here in Phoenix Arizona it's still celebrated on the 31st, after dark, no matter what night of the week it falls on.

We live just south of there in a town called Kenosha. It's about 90,000 big, so not a large city at all, and the kids here go out on a Sunday afternoon too. I was so surprised when I heard that that I started asking people at work, and they said it's been that way for a long time. You're right, it is sad. They even have signs up by the candy in the local supermarket telling people when the town's trick or treating will take place - always during daylight.

Where's the fun in that?

I'll go one further...

If I dress up as a slutty schoolgirl and post the pic here, in public, on BE, you buy the slutty outfit of your choice and post a pic wearing it as well.

Deal?:D
