Burn's mini roadtrip!! -Sept update
 

So I don't want to steal Nettlebeds thunder BUT as everyone has so enjoyed his recent roadtrip thread I thought I would post a few of our recent mini roadtrip down the to the Oregon coast.

Best word to describe it is "Dramatic", photos don't do it justice but if anyone gets a chance its worth the drive!

We drove as far down as Tillamook, Cape Lookout - my new favorite place! Daisy Dog had a blast on the beaches, and the state park campsites were immaculate, hot hot hot showers and a commendable recycling program! :thumbup:

Anyway, here are some scenic views for you all! Weather was typical PNW!! wet, sunny, windy, warm, cold and wet!!!

and finally... plus some critters (nothing on Nettlebed's critter haul though), sorry Mo we didn't get to Haystack Rock and I know these aren't Puffins but they were the closest I could find!!! ;)

Amazing pics! I love scenic shots. Your dog is so lovely. My kids want us to get a dog but hubby is allergic to furry animals. :(

We are driving to St Louis tomorrow for Memorial Day weekend and then next weekend are driving to Charlotte, NC via Atlanta, GA (hubby meeting up with an old friend who he hasn't seen for years as he married an American and moved over here). Must dig out camera again. Am sure there will be something of interest en route to photograph to show the folks back in UK. (I did type back home but changed it to UK. The US is home for the time being)

ok not keep gloating about the PNW but we did another trip to the Oregon coast for 4th July, we went down to Bandon which is a long way to go from Seattle :unsure: but it was such an amazingly pretty place I thought you would all like to see some piccies!!!

I am completely and utterly in LOVE with this coastline, and we are planning a bit of a longer roadtrip later in the summer and want to drive from Seattle to San Diego!

Mo - Bandon is :wub:.... could it be an prettier!!!

PS: dbj1000 - you have to take Alison to this coast, I would love to see her take on this through her art :thumbsup:

Interesting way to get rid of the wife.
Having seen the work, I'd recommend familiarizing her with Tippy the Turtle first, or the pirate. ;)
