Hilarious, all she is interested in is making money.

And now that is mainly through her tours etc etc and not selling records.

I'm no fan of hers, but that doesn't make her any different than anyone else there yesterday. Making money was the idea of the event as a whole, really, given the (probably not even hyperbole) hours of bloody ads we had to sit through between plays.

The Audi advert was nice.

At least that one was sort of honest.

The one with the astronaut? It was OK, but I'd have that R8 any day.

Also, nobody likes the Panthers*, so there's a lot of "anyone but the Panthers" going on.

Given the score history this season, upto and including the divisional championships, it's hard to see the Broncos having a shot. The Panthers are brimming with confidence and it will take a lot to undermine that.

* It's probably best not to dig too deep into "why?" Cam Newton already mentioned a possible reason and stirred up a $4!t storm.
Ha ha ha ha haaaaa.

I went to a sports bar in Ipswich to watch the game. It was quite significant that there were so many Panthers supporters who couldn't be called fans because they started to cheer the Broncos come half time.

The Panthers have always been a bit of a joke here in NC, with their stadium, I hear, often filled with local supporters of the visiting team. I suspect that there are a lot of fair-weather Panthers supporters who will fade away in years when the team doesn't perform well.

It is probably mostly due to the fact that they are a pretty new franchise compared to others.

The Bears have basically been shit since Mike Ditka left, but there aren't too many people around here switching to the Packers

That and that the Carolinas are choc-full of transplants from other parts of the country, most notably NY, NJ, and New England, but also PA and everywhere else from Florida to California and Texas to Minnesota. I saw quite a contingent of cheese heads tailgating before a weekday game a few years ago.

NC does seem a very popular place to move to.

Wouldn't surprise me. It's not too far a drive, and considerably better weather than Wisconsin at that time of year

Peyton Manning’s squeaky-clean image was built on lies

The reason I come to BE is that I know none of the Posters here have a murky past.

Well apart from Leslie, but we do not talk about that.
