BUT we do have a Toffee Apple making kit. And we nipped over the border to Wisconsin earlier this year and got some fireworks. Its funny, as soon as you hit the border it's, FIREWORKS & CHEESE signs all over.

I may (try) convince Mrs Emjoy to take us back up there to get more fireworks!!

Make sure you're legal to set them off where you live. We border a state with more lax rules on what they can sell & fire off and the locals get tagged every 4th of July with their contraband.
The firemen take it seriously.

The first time I made candy apples for my son, he looked at all the effort, took on his most serious expression and told me, "You know you can buy them at the store don't you mummy." He is now 24 and still the only one that calls me mummy, even when his friends laugh.

My CofE upbringing had me angry listening to the sympathy he receives from the locals because of his religious persecution, sad to get so mad but I was muttering under my breath! Even the fire is very small but you learn to take what you can get over here.

I used to hate bonfire night in UK. Firstly because it is my birthday lol, secondly it was always raining and cold.

But they dont celebrate it in OZ and believe it or not i miss it:o

I'd do anything to have a bonfire night special again, with all the trimmings.

Thank you yes,

We live in a 'cop' neighborhood and at certain times of year they are the main offenders having confiscated allot no doubt.

It might be a bit risky seen as it will be just a 'random day' for them.

I never liked bonfire night in the UK either, it was just chavs and other numpties letting them off between October and New years, no wait, was that between new years and october....hmmm. might as well have been.

I didnt think I would miss it but I miss allot of things now. Holiday season will be hard first time around but being with the Mrs will make up for it.
