Being to clever

SWMBO always issues veiled threats about being given useful items for her birthday like kitchen utensils and vacuum cleaners. She believes these useful tools are household items and not gifts. Somehow this doesn't translate the other way and I get given tools for my birthday.

So it is her 60th birthday Thursday and I purchased a very nice food processor no expense spared as a bit of a joke. Yes ladies I also got a very nice gold and diamond item I don't have a total death wish.

Anyway food processors are heavier than I thought and this one must have exceeded the weight limit imposed on my neck by recent surgery and carrying it from the store to parking lot has done some damage. I am now in pain having woken up this morning virtually unable to move my head. Teach me to try and be cleaver :frown:

Ibuprofen and ice. Reduces the inflammation. Take 800mg three times a day.

Isn't that dosage only to be taken if recommended by a doctor?

Yep but it cures the problem either way

Off to physical therapy now, this will be fun.

He's a gynecologist.

If you managed to do all that damage by yourself - just think how many more injuries you'll have when your wife throws it at you with extra force

And what's wrong with that? SWMBO knows to "get" me tools and/or guns. I say "get" because, after much training, she's grasped that it's her job to pay for them, but mine to choose them...

Hope you feel better.

My dad bought my mother a wheelbarrow for her birthday one year and had "Maggie's Birthday Barrow" stencilled on the side.
She was unimpressed to say the least and they divorced not long after. She used the barrow though everyday :D

Hope you managed to duck the food processor and give the gold before suffering another injury :)

I wouldn't mind getting a food processor. I left my English one behind and still haven't replaced it.

I may not be a doctor but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night.

Keep an eye out for that 20% voucher for Bed Bath & Beyond. I saved a fortune and got myself a shiny kitchen aid stand mixer & blender .

For valentines day this year I got a Zoku from Williams Sonoma - greatest gadget ever !!

Oh that might be worth it - I usually just chuck those but would be useful for a mixer

Every time I've seen those coupons, the exceptions have been bigger than the coupon, never been able to buy anything decent, always a bugger

My answer would be...'and you know what you can do with it my dear'.

A clue would be...the sun doesn't shine there. :sneaky:

Hmm... if you take the view that all politicians are girls, that would explain a lot about the economy...

The diamond and gold love knot necklace will keep me out of trouble for some months.

This morning only Macys had a 40% off food processors so she took the receipt back and got the difference refunded, she is doubly chuffed now.
