Default BBC documentary series from the 80s-90s : Great railway journeys of the world

Just stumbled onto this. Great documentaries

You don't have to be a train enthusiast to be entertained, it is more of a tourist journey through various countries by rail, a bit like Rick Steves' Euro journeys.

The narrators have their own charm , and touch on aspects of life outside the railways themselvews.

The high Andes to Patogonia , narrator and host is Buck Henry

From BBC Manchester 1980; narrator and host is Miles Kington
