Bad news but improving

Re: Bad news but improving
Just saw this thread SM. So very happy to read the update that he is improving. I can only imagine how frantic you must have felt those first few hours. Thoughts and prayers heading your way from bonnie Scotland. May you have a Happy Thanksgiving despite him being in the hospital. <<<Hugs>>>

Best of luck to you both. Don't forget to eat! I'm not just talking turkey either. In situations like these, you're so caught up in everything you forget to eat.

Re: Bad news but improving
.....and we are home
Discharged late last night (the unit was getting short of available beds for the Thanksgiving binge eaters that end up having Heart Attacks) so as M was moving around and looking better we escaped but with strict instructions
Lots of rest and relaxation in this house today, we both need it.
On a sad note: Right before we left last night there were 3 codes going on. The guy in the next room was rushed back into surgery after they resuscitated him, an older lady down the hallway went into cardiac arrest and then moved when they stabalized her and finally a young guy just brought into ICU unfortunately did not survive the numerous attempts of saving him. It was hard to see the sadness and emotion in all the doctors and nurses involved. They all worked so hard.
We have so much to be thankful for in our lives, we must never take it for granted.

Sad news about the guy next door, but great news for you and M. Glad to hear it - great timing too. Now, make sure he follows the rules, and takes it easy. And get that Turkey in the oven!

Well done M. Just have him take all the meds, get the rest, and he'll get a bit better every day, you'll see.

Glad M is home. Tell him to strictly follow doctors orders and to look after himself. Hope all continues to go well, and the remaining treatment goes well and successfully.

Yeah. Can't emphasize enough.
Make sure he takes all the statins, beta blockers, blood thinners, blood pressure meds they throw at him. Any side effects, ask the doc - do NOT stop or reduce any of them without guidance.
Oh, and don't eat any grapefruit while on statins. Really.
And rest.
