I was intending to order a goats cheese salad, but then dad ordered first and asked what was on the all day breakfast. I would never of ordered it when I lived in the UK and I don't particularly care for fried bread or sausages. I ate every scrap of it. Mmmmmm.

Coming from Houston, you are not allowed to say "it is quite hot" when in the UK! And no matter what time you are eating an all day breakfast, diet coke is never an acceptable substitute for a strong cup of Yorkshire tea. Unless of course, you are nursing the mother of all hangovers......?

The baseball season is almost over, but how did this pass us by at the Texas Rangers stadium: bacon on a stick!

The Dallas Morning News
If it was possible for the Texas Rangers to upstage their previous stadium gut-busters like the 24-inch hot dog the Boomstick or the 1-pound burger the Beltre Buster, they might just have done it this year. One word: bacon.

At $7 per piece, the new "bacon on a stick" at Globe Life Park will become available Monday, March 31, when the Rangers' season begins. It's dipped in maple glaze before being served, fork-free, to customers.

"Bacon is just really popular right now," said Shawn Mattox, general manager of Metroplex Sportservice, the concessions provider for Globe Life Park in Arlington. ......

Got all excited seeing this post thinking you guys were going to solve my "bacon in the US" problem...

So I take it that good English/Dutch style bacon remains a fantasy while I am stateside?
