Default anybody out there with good TV knowledge?!

hello USA ....

anybody have any ideas on how to convert our USA NTSC/PAL-M/PAL-N tv to PAL for the UK?

I see converter boxes advertised saying things like the picture colour lags behind if the tv is over 28" (which ours is).

Anyone ever done this or recommends something that could help?

I've put the tv up for sale in the classifieds if anyone emigrating wants one but I'd rather convert it and keep it if I can as its a good telly.

Help greatly appreciated!

  1. convert your US TV into money by selling it
  2. take the money with you to the UK
  3. add more money
  4. buy a new TV

Good advice. The price of TVs is dropping dramatically in the US. You can get a very decent LCD at a price about 30-50% of the price a year ago.

Not sure this helps - he's moving to the UK (posted the same question in the MBTTUK Forum).

I presume that means that you've already shipped it to the UK then.....

Should have asked before you moved, we'd have told you to just sell it. Nobody will want it now, it won't play most of the stuff over there.
