Re: Any of these familiar
I'm guilty of replying "i'm good" when asked "how are you"?
But my argument is if you hear it everyday then your brain gets programmed and it's out before you know it! That's my story and I'm sticking to it.
Another one I say in this neck of the woods is "fixin" as in fixin to go somewhere or fixin to do something!
I'll try and rise above it. Although if I start replying I'm fine thank you then I have to launch into a story about what brings us to Texas and even I'm sick of hearing that! It is fun though when someone asks the OH what brought you here and he answers airplane! Has me in knots every time, very juvenile I know.
There was a couple cruising our street last night looking at available houses, they stopped the OH and my son and struck up conversation only for the guy to remark that my OH sounded like Braveheart, I heard him screaming FREEDOM half way down the street!

Why 'horror'? It gives me a warm fuzzy feeling to know that I can piss off Timothy for days just by saying 'train station'.

My Bad.
Makes no sense at all and I hear it all the time, usually with a little giggle at the end from incompetent co-worker

I'm guilty of "I'm good" too, but I've been trying to reprogramme myself after I noticed that I was doing it.
Another strange one that my wife came out with was doing something "on accident" rather than "by accident" or "accidentally". That one really grates on me.

I never liked the word much. Don't use it IRL. Since when did the Brits start using that word? I notice my IRL English friends use it all the time. You have the Aussie invasion to thank for it, I'm sure
My youngest told me the other day that I'm beginning to go a bit too southern by dropping my 'g's' at the end of a word. I'm determined to correct that

I'm too much of a pessimist to ever say "I'm good' I usually say 'not too bad' in response to how are you.
I do say 24/7 and I have started using 'super' to emphasis certain things, like 'super cute'.
I could never say anything was awesome it just sounds very weird to hear anyone without an American accent saying it. My 3 year old has started saying awesome a lot, but he also told me I rocked the other day

I agree and disagree with Timothy, I'd guess he and I are of, the same, or almost the same, generation, but I use many of the expressions that I dislike in order to communicate. If I tried to stick with the standard English I was taught in the 1940s/50s, I would have big problems, here in America, today.
