Default Another Florida question...

So, we're going to meet my family in Florida of June next year for a lounging around beach holiday. We're looking for an all inclusive family beach resort...looked at Ft Myers, Sanibel Island, Clearwater Beach, Naples, Amelia Island, etc. Anyone got any recommendations on all inclusive places?

I think there is a Club Med one, but that is it. Generally no all inclusives in FL.

Alright, thanks for that. Where, in your opinion, are the nicer places for beaches and relaxation?

Ever been to Sanibel Island or Ft Myers, Ray? I'd like to go to the Keys...but they seem quite pricy from what I can tell.

Yup both nice areas ...
I live north of Tampa .... away from tourists ..

The keys are vastly over-rated in my opinion ...
and your right very expensive ..my wife lived their for 5 years
though and loves it ..

the further South you go ..it get hotter and more expensive ..

Unless you're into diving... that's scuba diving for you pervs.

Don't spend too much on a hotel, there's so many in Florida's tourist traps you can normally get a reasonable one at a good rate. Plus you'll need the money to pay for entrance tickets to any parks you go to!

Nothing wrong with the west coast, as in the Panhandle-better beaches.....Destin, Fort Walton Beach, Pensacola

I live near Ft Myers, it's not.. well its not very touristy really. Sanibel is nice though, and Ft Myers Beach is ok - Never been to the beaches in Naples or Marco Island so can't really help there.

This post is about as helpful as a chocolate teapot I suppose

I would suggest Anna Maria Island, my favourite place in the Tampa Bay area. Very laid back, sand in the streets kind of place...no all inclusives but plenty of varied accommodation, google Anna Maria Island and take a peek.

Wherever you end up, have a good trip!

South Seas Resort on the northern end of Captiva Island is quite nice.

www.southseas.com It can be a little pricey but there are some good deals in the summer. Worth checking out.
