Android or Apple?

Re: Android or Apple?
That's the developer's version isn't it. Is it buggy at all or do your current apps work fine ?
I'm looking forward to meeting my personal assistant Cortana. Good thing they didn't call it Cortina like the 60s Fords. Every time I think of Cortina the lyrics to a certain Ian Dury song come to mind.... "I had a love affair with Nina in the back of my Cortina"......"a seasoned up ol' hyena could not have been more obscener"...

Assuming Sprint has got half decent coverage where you are and you have wifi at home (and preferably work).

Re: Android or Apple?
We tried to get republic wireless for my sons first phone a couple of years back when they first started, but they were oversubscribed and closed to new signups. I noticed they were open again and hadn't really considered them as I don't get good reports on Sprint from friends. As son's usage was/is predominantly wifi at home/school and friends houses, that didn't seem to matter. Don't think its going to be for me though, as I need reasonable coverage for when I'm out and about. May look at it for my middle one when he gets a phone when starting JH next year.
Hmm...now, he's got an old HTC that is OK......maybe I half-inch that, and get him a republicwireless phone........hmmmm........

Re: Android or Apple?
Went with the Samsung S5 in the end. Final decider was the availability of apps - in the quantity (apple) vs quality(android) battle, Android won for me.
Got it 2 days ago, and so far, loving it. Only downside I've found yet is that camera struggles to take a photo of the mainly white back of a check for mobile deposit - the autofocus seems to struggle with the lack of contrast. Screen is great, and makes reading the UK papers online a lot easier. It is lightning fast compared to my old pos, and also gets great reception in the house, which is the first phone I've found to do so (iphones included), apparently/allegedly because of the type of insulation. Battery life appears to be good.
All in all, happy so far.
