As much as I don't want to see anyone get in because of their status as a celebrity, I have to concur with the earlier post in that she's innocent until proven guilty.
If she's being investigated for drug use, but hasn't been convicted, she should be eligible for a visa. If she is convicted, then she paid her money and took her choice.

You can be denied entry if the embassy or IO even *suspect* you are currently a drug user, and are supposed to be permanently inadmissible with a conviction on drugs-related charges other than possession of less than 30 grams of marijuana (the John Lennon loophole).

Ha! Spears have some big problems.
Glad to hear she was denied anyway. About time some of these celebs started paying for their mistakes.
As for new artist, she's new over here. At least to those people who don't normally pay any attention to what's going on in Europe.

I'm actually reading Andrew Morton's unauthorised biography of Tom Cruise (what an effing piece of work Cruise is) and how he lobbied the US ambassadors in places like Germany and Spain to press the govts. there to allow the practice of Scientology as a religion in those countries. He was treated like a superstar at the embassies, signing autographs for the star-struck staff.
